Brenda Croswell was born in Huntington Park, California but was reared in Bastrop since third grade. She went on to marry John Croswell, Jr., graduate with a BA in Pre-Law, and study many different philosophies along the way, including Feng Shui.

Sue Bryan Featured Artist at ORAG For October
Ouachita River Art Gallery’s featured artist for October, Sue H. Bryan, is an artist with a wide range of interests.  Sue’s primary profession began in Nursing when she obtained a B.S. Degree in Nursing from Northwestern University where she also discovered her love for art.  She has followed her whimsical artistic muse that has led her to explore oil and watercolor painting, then polymer clay, glass flamework, glass mosaics and her current medium of fused glass jewelry.

Recently, as I walked down Main Street in Oak Grove, the heat of the day could be seen rising in an upward direction from the sidewalk. I took refuge in an old building that once served as a service station in better days. I was surprised to see the interior of the building filled with artwork by the occupant, Cora Mae Overby.
